Universal voltage for a ps3

Hi there.

I have looked through countless forums, and keep getting a 50/50 answer. I just have a question about the voltage of a ps3.

I have recently bought a ps3 in USA and brought if back to South Africa. The ps3 has a voltage of 120V specified on the back of the console, so my question is if I can use ps3 in South Africa where the voltage is 220V. Do I need to buy a transformer or not?

This is for ps3 super slim 500gb btw.
