poor wifi signal after antenna replacement ipad 2

Hi,

I initially replaced my iPad 2 screen and snapped the wifi antenna upon disassembley.

I have recently bought another wifi antenna an fitted it properly. My ipad still wouldnt pick up signal unless I was literally a meter away.

I thought it was a faulty antenna so purchased another.. I have fitted another one and still I cant get a signal unless im a meter away from my router ?

This repair is for a customer so any help would be massively helpful to me :)

Thanks

Sorry I didnt mean to accept that.... Just check wifi module against pics online... Everything is perfect..

I bought these antennas off ebay ? Does it have to be a specific quality ? OEM Standard maybe ?

Has my IC chip gone ?

Yes I took the mother board off clipped the clip onto the right antenna on the rear of the board and replace ?

Is that correct ?

Right ok there is a Easyier way to install the wifi with out taking motherboard out.

Just check the video it involves disconnecting a module from the board it would appear when u installed the anntena and took out motherboard you push down and uncliped the module u will understand when u look at video

by

No offence but just buy looking at pics how can you tell if it's connected or not?

I would unplug it and reconnect it

by

Here is what the part looks like the top arrow is the connector which is what I think has come loose and the bottom arrow is where the anntena plugs in..

If all is ok and still nothing then I could be a faulty part goodluck

Ive noticed that the replacement antennas can be faulty, Ive tried everything to improve the weak signals to no avail, after purchasing another replacement voila! Wifi works 100%. So now when I have to do a wifi antenna job I order two or three, just in case.
