replaced crack lcd with a colored lcd it doesn't turn on.

I repaired a cracked screen on an ipod touch 4gen. I plugged the lcd assembly and tried to turn it on, the screen was blank no response at all. I disconnected the lcd assembly and connected the cracked one and it did turned on. Since in the cracked screen the digitizer didnt work so i disconected it while the ipod was as sleep and connected the new lcd assembly and it works, everything works. I turned it off with the new lcd assembly connected. It turned off ok but when i try to turn it on no response, no power... please help cause this is driving me crazy. I have plug and unplugged the digitizers many times and the same issue... i even got another screen and still get the same issue.

Thank you for your sugestions. In my last resort after trying resetting, i found out the ipod needed an update. I went and did the update and it fixed the problem. The screen is full functional.

The device may have powered on while you were still working on it, have you done a soft reset on it? Hold power + home buttons down for about 10 seconds, release the buttons and try power it on normally with the power button. This issue can happen alot when swapping screens out. Even if you are 100% sure that it was off when you plugged the screen in last, try the soft reset anyway. This fixes 80% of the iPods that come in after a failed installation by the customer.

There was no need for a update a hard reset would have sorted it out
