Dropped phone, now screen won't work?

I dropped my iPhone 5 by accident and it cracked the screen. It also will not let me touch anything now and it shows various colors. Can't see anything on the screen. Could this mean I need a new LCD & Digitizer or is it deeper than that?

So just a whole new screen, nothing more?

Con is right, you will need a new screen. Most probably there is nothing else wrong with the phone, however one can never be certain until the reperation is complete and you can test the functions in the phone.
