rear pannel and screen frame colorchange worth the risk?

the lightning jack on my iphone is going to crap and i dont want to use my upgrade untill the 6 comes out so i started looking around for parts. i found everything i needed and also decided a new battery for $15 couldnt hurt since it will already be apart.

i then got carried away and figured that while its in pieces, i might as well replace the rear glass pieces and the supporting Frame for Screen Assembly with gold for only another $30 so those got thrown in the cart as well. now after more research, i am beginning to believe it is not worth the extra work and risk. am i correct in thinking that i am going to have to remove the glass from the front and reattach it to the gold frame? my screen works perfectly now, how easy will it be to mess up? then for the back glass i can hardly even find an answer on how to do it. the best one i got is to hit it with a heat gun and push it off from the inside?

how much extra work will this be past the Lightning port and the battery which i imagine is going to be pretty straight forward.

also how important is it that i buy a new adhesive for the battery? will the old one be fine if i don't tear it?

thanks for the help

EDIT: here are links to the two parts

Hi there right to start of this is risky as you will need to kinda no what you are doing.. The supporting from I wouldn't even try this means taking it off the screen you have and gluing it back and if not glue proporly then the screen could fall out.. The rear glass I have try to take out of a spare iPhone 5 and is very very difficult even with heat
