iPhone 5 screen black and unresponsive

Since having accidentally dropped my iPhone 5, the screen has been black and unresponsive. The screen isn't cracked though, and the backligh still works.

Everything else also still works: toggling the sound switch vibrates the phone, I can still get called and it can still connect to iTunes.

So the only thing that doesn't work is the light of the screen. Does anybody know what's wrong with this and how I can fix it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Chad, you said that your " the backligh still works" but the screen stays black. Explain that a bit better.

I mean that, when I click the home button, the power button or connect the phone to the power cord, the screen does light up, but it only shows a completely dark blue or dark black colour. So the display is not completely dead I think (since it does light up), it just doesn't show correct the colours.

I had the exact thing happen to my phone after a fall the other day. Did you have to get your screen replaced?

Chad, it is possibly to have a dislodge cable connector or a broken display. You may want to try a hard reset and/or restore. If that does not resolve it then you will have to replace the display assembly. Hope this helps, good luck.
