Touch ID option not available.

I got a 5s that I replaced a screen on, it was damaged when I bought it.

Either way I replaced such parts (I do repairs on the side for fun) and the touch ID option doesn't work.

Luckily I came across another 5s that I swapped over the glass to see if it was just my replacement button (I ripped it by accident) and the option doesn't come up. I've updated. Reset all settings and erase all content and settings. I can't find where the settings are.

Find your original button or it'll never work.

Or try to go to apple for help, if they ask, you don't know anything.

I came across 2 more. I swapped a screen on one that worked. It stopped working. I took out the button from the broken one and just popped it in and it worked.

Sad part, the button for the first one was damaged at the clip. So the original is broken =/. A second solution?

Use the original one came with your phone or say goodbye to Touch ID.

Montez Hardnett, the touch ID sensor is designed to be secure and it is uniquely paired with each specific phone. There is no way to restore that particular function. Read more about that on here. and on here as well. Hope this helps, good luck.
