I got the nand error, what precautions should I be taking?

Hello,

I was recently replacing a customers screen when I was faced with the nand error! After much frustration I did some research and disconnected the 3rd flex cable for the proximty sensor and front facing camera. By doing this, the phone successfully booted up. Sequentially I ordered a replacement flex cable, however Im wondering what precautions I should be taking when installing the flex. I usually transfer this flex cable over very carefully from the old screen to the new one, so this error was a surprise to me.

I also noticed that the screen replacement I received has an extremely loose front facing camera bezel, could this have caused and error?

Theres also a black rubber square like (bezel maybe) that comes out from under the flex, where should that be placed?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Seen this before you damaged the ribbon cable removing it - it is very fragile and you most likely caused the damage when removing it from the old screen. You need to heat it to soften the glue and not just pull at it to remove it. Same with the home button - heat up the flex to soften the glue beforehand.

Also most replacement screens dont come with the front camera bezel plastic and it shouldn't be loose - you usually transfer it from the old one and glue it in place on the new one.

That spacer is just a spacer. Do not screw the long screw in so tight that the retaining plate bends, and then everything should function fine without it.
