When I try to add contacts in phonebook, says "Check SIM card"

Ive put my Boost SIM card into a Motorola Nextel i90c phone. When i try to add contacts into the phonebook, it says "contact saved" then "check SIM card". I have to turn the phone off to get that to go away, and when i turn it back on the phonebook is empty! Im not electronics savvy, so what do i do??

Hi,

first of all, a SIM card can only handle a given amount of contacts. So check how many contacts your SIM card can handle and how many contacts you already have on your SIM card.

Most Phones offer the choice to store the contacts in its internal memory or the SIM card. Go to the settings and see where the phone should store the contacts.
