Wont turn on, Wont charge, Dos'nt register on pc

My daughters IPAD 2 WiFi EMC2560 will not power on

Tried to charge it wont recognize dos'nt show charging symbol.

Tried to plug into my computer plug n play didn't recognize.

Tried to force start no luck.

When I hold power and home down after 7 sec the device screen flickers light grey for a split second then nothing.

When I have it connected to my computer and I then try to force start it my plug n play tries to recognize it but cant.

Answer this question I have this problem too

definitely start with a new battery.

Update: after having it plugged in for days when I unplug it and re-plug it in it now makes the chim that it's charging screen is still same

It's possible that the ipad needs a new battery install hence why it will not get recognised by the computer..

When the battery goes in a iPhone 4 it cannot be reconised.

Apple devices need to boot to the main lock screen for iTunes to reconise them
