How many heat sensors and where are they?

I have a macbook pro which appears to have a faulty heat sensor fans on full at start up and apple hardware test throws out the code to indicate this.

Is this replaceable? or is it integrated on the logic board?

Or part of the fan cables?

Options

Try using this app Temperature Gauge Pro. It will show you the different sensors and show you what the fan is doing.
