Mac Mini - having 2 drives?

I'm gonna order a new late-2012 Mac Mini (2.5/i5). When it arrives, I plan on running thru the set-up process, making a bootable usb drive for Mavericks, and then taking out the stock HDD and putting in an SSD for boot and a second drive (HDD) for music library.

I'm aware of checking the Mac Mini to find out if the stock HDD sits in the upper or lower position and ordering the correct data doubler kit depending on the HDD location.

But I'm a little bit confused on the OWC "warning" about the problems associated with the stock HDD being in the upper position, adding an SSD, the computer trying to fix what it sees as a broken fusion drive and the use of disk utility.

If you could just correct or clarify for me, it would be wonderful.

1) If the stock drive is in the upper position, then I need to follow that supplement from OWC?

2) If the stock drive is in the bottom position, I can follow the normal method?

3) If in the bottom position, can I also disregard the warnings about disk utility?

4) If the Mac Mini ships with 10.8.3 or higher (i'm not sure what the current MM ships with), I can disregard the supplement from OWC?

Is there anything I else I need to do or know? I would just like to put in the SSD and HDD, not have a fusion drive and not have any issues.
