Clips holding case broken, can it be repaired?

The clips holding the Ipod classic 6th gen 120gb case have been broken (not by me!), can this be repaired?

It also needs the motherboard replacing but I see no point in this if the case doesn't protect it.

Hannah, If you do not want to use tape or rubber bands around your iPod, I suggest a new case, or at least the back of the case. You can pick those up fairly cheap at places like ebay etc. It will make all the difference in the world and will make the iPod look great again.

In general it's tough to repair the clips themselves, but you should be able to keep the iPod closed by taping it up, which is removable, or by gluing it shut, which is fairly permanent. Another solution might be finding a tight case for the iPod to sit in, then you don't have to worry about it at all! Here is the logicboard/motherbaord guide for your device, you're actually past the hardest part if your iPod opens easily! Best of luck!
