broken stylus stuck in holder

I just bought a DS lite online. It showed up with half of a stylus stuck in the stylus holder of the shell. Would taking it apart, as per the first few steps of most of the DS guides expose it from the inside so i can remove it?

I cannot get it out from the outside.

I would have already gone ahead and tried, just to see, but I would have to buy a tri-wing screwdriver. Didn't want to bother, it it wasn't going to work.

Options

As you can see in this picture, the stylus holder is attached to the back housing of the DS. Once the back housing is removed you should be able to remove the holder and get the broken stylus out. You can get a cheap tri-wing screwdriver here if you're interested.
