Please help! iBook is dead?

I went to turn my iBook on today, and it is completely dead. I tried plugging it in thinking maybe it's the battery, nothing. Let it charge, just came home tried again, nothing. Tried taking out the battery and leaving it plugged in, nothing. It was working just fine last night. I don't know what to do. I payed 199$ for this "refurbished" iBook 2 months ago or so, and have had nothing but problems. My whole itunes library is on here, and my iPod only works on mac because it takes a firmwire cable. Please help me, or I am screwed....

Ok, nevermind. I held the start button down for a while, then tried again, and it started right up. Anyone know why it would do this?

You need to hold it down for a while on the older ones, they don't start up immediately like the newer MacBooks.

Mine usually does, even if I just tap it, it starts right up normally. I think the buttom may have been stuck. Because I held it down really hard then let it go, and then when I tapped it, it turned on. But now, it wont charge the iPod when the computer is off. It used to do this, as I would just leave it plugged in then plug in the iPod, and it would charge, any ideas?
