Do I need to replace mother board if DC-in posts are broken?
Son went to plug in dsi and he bent the posts inside the dsi power input. Can this be fixed itself or de we have to replace whole motherboard?
Is this a good question?

Jason, I'd try to straighten the bend pins with some small needles or similar instruments. If you can not bend them back or if they are broken off, you could try and solder a new connector to the board. The connector are available at places like this. A lot cheaper than to replace the circuit board. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks for the info...I'll try that for sure. A repair company here in town wants 40 bucks just for labour so I guess I'll give it a try on my own, lol.
