Screen flickers and is pale after new screen

Replaced the screen on an iPod I gave my brother. He wanted a red screen so that's what I got him and it might be a cheap screen...but IDK. BTW, this is a different ipod then the others ivwe been having issues with.

Anyways, the screen/touch works and everything, but the screen flickers slightly and it's really annoying. Connector is mint. No debris or anything. I did a soft reset still flickers.

Another issue is the the camera doesnt work. But thats for another day.

Any ideas? Could it just be a crappy china screen?

Forgot to add, the screen is lightly pale-looking. Not a rich colour like the rest of them...definitely doesnt look like the standard retina.

Options

Flickering can be caused by connection not seeded correctly but a badly pale screen is the sign of a bad or low quality screen

Thats what I was thinking...but the screen barely flickers now and the screen isnt very pale. After charging it got a lot better...wut

It's possible you have a damaged part or loose cable, I would go over all your connections again, and verify with the old part if you still have it to see if the flickering persists.
