How do you replace a damaged SIM card slot?

A friend of mine inserted the SIM tray the wrong way in supposedly and has ruined some internal components rendering the slot useless. I see replacements are available for relatively cheap, wanting to find out how they are actually replaced though.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I suppose the SIM card slot is soldered on the motherboard. you will need professional instrument when need to re-solder the new slot.

Unfortunately I screwed it up, it's way too small to fix unfortunately for me. So I bought another motherboard, but you can go to a cell phone repair place and they can fix it for like 95 bucks...

Good luck
