Searching... after battery replacement

iPhone 4S is on 7.0.4 and is jailbroken. (was working fine before battery replacement)

Recently replaced my iPhone 4S battery, I followed the guide and did everything correctly.

I have degreased the pressure contact, I have tried setting the time and date correctly manually and automatically while connected to the WiFi and then rebooting (it was on Dec 31, 1969 7:02 every time I took off the pressure contact). Even without the sim card it still says Searching... I've tried turning on Airplane mode and then turning it off. I've basically tried everything. I will take pictures later if that helps.

Please help me!

Kevin

It is a common problem that the phone can not detect the sim card after removing the battery contact from the motherboard. However I have no experience with Jailbroken phones, I tend not to touch them with a 10foot pole.

What I do after a screenreplacement/battery replacement is I turn on the phone, test that everything works etc without the sim card. Then I connect the phone to Wifi(or Itunes) let it sit for 10-20seconds and then insert the sim card. Afterwards I turn the phone off and back on and it's 99.9% that the sim card is detected right from the start. (Asking for the lock) If this doesn't work I ensure the phone is connected to wifi and try to call some one, it often pops up saying the sim card is locked and you should unlock it.

If none of that works, I can't help sadly. Goodluck, let me know!

Yeah, I used the plastic opening tool just like it shows in Step 6 iPhone 4S Battery Replacement

So u just pryed of that side or the motherboard side? Or both?

by

Just that side and then I pulled up the battery with the plastic

by

Ok then you can rule out motherboard problems I would try a restore and activate sim again

by

Alright but before I do that are you sure there is no other option since my phone is jailbroken
