I was wondering if the headphone jack placement is the same on both the iPhone 4 and 4s because the i just got a 4/4s case and the top flap where u can connect the headphone is not aligned it is way off. So are they the same or is it the case companies fault?

Both jacks on the 4 and 4s are the same I just checked on both gsm models.
It must be the case that off

I think there are less than 10 parts that can be shared across different iPhone models. So just forget it.

No, it sounds like the company made a gross mistake. I have a 4, my wife has a 4s, both on Verizon. The jacks are in the exact same location.
