How to use an iMac G5 screen externally?

So I bought this 17" screen hoping to build my own iMac-ish thing not realizing that it has a weird pin, now I'm trying to use it as an external monitor, I am unable to test it since all I have from the machine is the screen. Is there anyway I can still use this screen or is it just a waste? Is there an adapter that I can use?

If it works and turns on, you can use ScreenRecycler for that.

I would need the computer (iMac) to function for that though, correct? I've only got the screen inside.
