Phone doesnt respond to the phone lock password

Woke up this morning and found out that my Galaxy slept to well probably. It does not recognizing my phone lock password (I'm sure that it is the correct one) and i cannot enter my phone...

How does it could have happen that over night it just forgotten my password?

and what can i do to overcome it?

Hi,

- First way: Factory reset. Hold the Volume UP, Home and Power ON buttons together. And from the Android recovery menu select - "Wipe data / factory reset", "Yes -- delete all user data", "reboot now".

But you will lost all your data, and this is not good if you haven't a backup.

- Second way: with ADB (Android Debug Bridge). But, you can use this method only if you have USB debugging turned on from the menu before. This option is turned off by default.

- Third way: after many wrong password entries, the phone will offer you to connect with your google account. But your WiFi must be ON from before, you must be near to the network that you used before (you can't make new connection).
