GPU upgrade of mid-2007 iMac 7,1

I have 7,1 iMac 24" with an ATI Radeon 2600 Pro 256 MB.

I might want to try to upgrade the graphics to an NVIDIA 8800 GS or something else if it is known to work with this particular model (the only requirement is that it needs to have at least 512 MB).

My question is: where can I get these type of cards?

My only option is from used Macs?

Thanks for your answer! I read that thread.

Although it is not clear to me, whether my only option is to find non-working donor iMacs with the desired card or there are trustworthy sellers who are dealing with these kind of cards?

Maybe even directly from the manufacturer? But I guess that would only be possible for OEM partners...
