iPod frozen on: Do not Disconnect

There's no physical damage to the iPod, but the display says "do not disconnect." After an hour or so, I did disconnect from my computer.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Removed 'iPod' tag, it's superfluous because the device already provides categorization.

Try resetting the iPod.

Quote from Apple Support:

"Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step."

Another Quote from Apple Support:

"Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center."

The ON setting for the hold switch will be in the direction that makes a colour visible underneath where it would not be visible if the switch was set to OFF.

My final advise would be to wait for the battery to completely drain, then charge it all the way up. Then, turn it on and see what happens
