Hi Con,

Thanks for you prompt response and technical advice.

Yes, i already shorted this two prongs using screws but no response. Is it possible that i damage the mainboard when i install the internal speaker?

Isolation made:

1. I already isolate the speaker itself (damage one and new one) but the home button is not responding anymore.

2. I also replace the "lighting charger, headset jack" assembly but its the same.

3. I measure the two prongs voltage reading with respect to gnd. One has 1.72V and the other one has 0.0V.

4. The one the measure 1.72V has an open resistance while the other with 0.0V got 10kohms.

Let me know of your taught. Thanks so much.

Make sure phone is turned on Open up the iPhone again just a tad so you can see the little gold prongs on the dock connector inside the phone. Now with a screw driver touch the two prongs at the Same time this should activate the screen as it's mimicking the home button when active.. If it does then good it just means you need to push the prongs up a tad so they come in contact with the home button flex.. If not then could be a faulty part
