Unibody Laptop Dual Drive, HD active all the time

Hi,

I just installed a second HD with the Unibody Laptop Dual Drive on my Late 2011 15" macbook pro.

Everything run fines, but I can hear the HD working 100% the time, it never idles, therefore the battery life has degraded heavily.

Any ideas?

Options

Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to System Preferences > Hardware > Energy Saver and click the box that says "put hard drive to sleep when possible".

Does it work for the second hard drive too? I assume it only works for the main hard drive.
