i need to update ios but i dont have software updates!

but i dont have software updates.
how do i update ios.

Did I not tell you in the other post you created you need a laptop computer with iTunes installed then plug in iPod and iTunes recognise the device and will ask you to update..
The software you are on now does not allow you to update on the device with old firmware
