I was replacing my screen a I got a little too anxious and I accidently tore apart my ribbon cable connecting the battery to the phone. Is there any way I can fix or mend it back together until I get a new one.

The short answer is no.
A new battery for a 4S is usually less than $10 and can be found on any shopping site like Amazon, ebay or newegg.
