How to repair backlight?

I have a few questions and hoping you all might be able to help me out.

  • Is an A1369 LCD work on a mid-2013 model?
  • What are the differences between the A1369 and the A1466 LCD?

* Where can I purchase the A1466 light diffusers / reflective sheets?

* Where is the backlight fuse on the logic board of a mid-2013 model?

Thank you in advance for all your help.

You're talking about a very advanced DIY repair. Unless you have a lot of experience and skills it might be easier to just replace the screen (this is not the project I would pick to begin as a first time DIYer). . And a LCD backlight will not work on an LED screen.

Kimberly, A1369 is a big series. It spans from late 2010 to late 2012. It would help if you can give us the last three digits of your serial number. It will help to identify your hardware. Taking the LCD out of the shell is very difficult and will most likely destroy the glass or thin aluminum before you even get to the LCD for replacement. If you are lucky enough and have a LP133WP1 panel, it should fit models A1369 and A1466 Compatible Subfamily

The fuse is reference designator F9700 and it is a 3Amp 32Volt in a 603 package SMD component. Now for the A1466 light diffusers / reflective sheets issue, that will be very hard and you may have to scour places like ebay or Alibaba and see if you can find them. Hope this helps, good luck.

I will answer one question for you. If you have a defective led screen from any laptop, you can get it. This screen has those sheets that you are talking about. You just need to open it carefully.

Thanks.
