Homebutton and powerbutton not working

as several other iphone 5's, my powerbutton started to get bad. suddenly it stopped working at all. Out of real curiosity i opned my phone to try to fix the button. (see if it just needed a cleaning). when i was done, didn't just the powerbutton not work, but also my homebutton. i've read some answers on other quetions. they told me that i needed to bride two copper things with a screwdriver, but it didnt acivate the button.

What can i do to try to fix the two buttons?

Hi there I take it you removed battery when looking at power button?

Did u pry off battery from the logic board side if did you might have damaged components..

If you bridged the two prongs and it never activated the screen then it's either a new charging port you need or it's the damage on the logic board..

Only way to no for sure is to trouble shoot by replacing parts then if they don't work you no for sure it's the logic board

If the power button was faulty and was clicking and not responding then that's a faulty power flex you could start with geting a new one of them and testing it like the picture and saves you taking the whole phone apart.. You don't need the expander cable but it helps
