No power after short circuited logic board. Need to identify problem.

Hello everybody, I got problem with my logic board. It's short-cutted somewhere and it happened while I was changing HDD to SSD. If you can provide anykind of help, I'll be grateful. I have basic multimeter and some knowledge about electric (components & parts) stuff. I've already disassembled macbook, so I got logic board with megsafe connector out. Problem is, that there is no power at all. Battery indicator isn't working and when I plug megsafe charger in, it's dim green, you can barely see it. I can upload detailed photos of logic board somewhere. Can anyone help me identify what the problem might be ?

Thanks a lot, Nico

Nico - Thats a tall order - Sorry

While we can help guide you locating damage logic board components it can be quite hard. Besides, even if we identify the part/s that are damaged some require special tools to take off or to put on.

Did you follow the IFIXIT guides? Did you disconnect the battery BEFORE disconnecting things?

A dim MagSafe plug implies the charging/power logic is damaged. At this point you'll need to take the logic board out to make a proper inspection. Follow this IFIXIT guide MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 Logic Board Replacement.

If you look at these two images you will note a five pin SMT FET just below the MagSafe connector (one on each side) Logical board (bottom side) and Logic board (top side). One or both could be damaged.

Often I see these blown by static (ESD). Which gets to the next possibility did you follow good ESD practices?
