When typing text, the cursor jumps back or stops. When moving the cursor over windows in the finder or on an internet page, it selects without the trackpad being pushed. This happens more after the computer has been on awhile, not after being off overnite.

The easiest fix here is replacing the upper case. Follow this IFIXIT guide MacBook Core Duo Upper Case Replacement. Heres the part MacBook Santa Rosa/Penryn Upper Case with Keyboard. You might find a used one searching on Google. The Apple Part number is 922-7754 (white) or 922-8125 (black).
