Chirping/Vibrating when plugged in and no display!

I have an iPhone 5S 32gb on Sprint.

I bought it off ebay as a "no power" unit. I put it into DFU, and restored it. Phone seems to work fine but display does not work at all and when plugged in it either vibrates or chirps, depends what you have it set on. Once unplugged, it stops.

An ideas?

I am not the original owner of the phone. It has no water damage, and no cracks or accidental damage, and has a bad LCD. Would they really just replace the LCD screen?

It doesn't matter if your not the original owner apple have a 12 month warrenty even if you bought it 2nd hand

Go on there website and you can type in the serial number an send it off for repair by post

by

Post your serial number up and I can check the warrenty status

I chatted one on one over Apple.com and told the guy where I got it, what was wrong ect. He said the iPhone was eligible for a repair for free as long as 1. There was no water damage (there isnt) 2. The drop indicator hadn't been triggered and 3. the phone hadn't been worked on by anybody other than Apple. All three of these seem if not are an issue so Ill go to the Apple store and try them out see what happens.

Here is my serial number off the phone. DNPLD4EYFFFL

Thanks

That's fantasic :)

People always think cause there not the rightful owner that they have no warrenty which Isn't true

What do you mean "depending on what you have it set on"? This is probably a hardware issue, as the phone is booting up it is failing somewhere in a hardware detection. You should inspect the logic board as best you can for missing components and liquid damage. If you have another 5S, try each of the small parts on the other device to test for functionality. Starting with the LCD. This will help you find the bad component (maybe the logic board itself if everything else works just fine).

I do have another 5s but I dont wanna mess with it...:)This existing phone has no water damage. And by "whatever you have it set on" I mean whether you have it on silent or ringer. I searched around and found that the chirping/buzzing is probably caused by the motherboard finding a fault in the LCD. I went into a closet and saw that there is a very faint backlight. I'm going to give a try at buying a new screen and replacing it.

Thanks!
