My iPhone 5 discharges battery quickly, impossible to charge afterward

Hi.

I have a problem with my Iphone 5, The phone works great. BUT the problem is that it discharges the phone VERY quickly. And I am not able to charge it up afterward.

If I put the battery in another Iphone 5, and charge it a little bit, and put it back it will start up, and I can charge it in my Iphone. But after som hours, it suddently turns off, with no battery.

Tried other original batteries, in total 5 different batteries. They all work.

Also tried changing the charger port. With no luck.

Anyone have a clue what it can be?

PS: Also noticing it becomes very warm when charging it up.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I would suggest trying a second charging port. Also, clean the connectors where it goes into the logic board. You may be having a power management problem on the hardware level.

When you change the battery the first time did you pry it off on the motherboard side or volume buttons side?

This seems to be a common fault in the iPhone 5 a lot of people seem to be have trouble with this and there are no answers why

I used the pry plastic on the logic board side.

I am pretty sure its hardware fault, because i have recovered many times in itunes. done resets etc.

The weird thing is that when i charge the battery to about 2% with an other Iphone 5, put the battery back. The Iphone charge it back up.

So the charger works, also the batteries.

What side did you pry the battery off the first time?

As it sounds like pry damage on the motherboard
