Popular laptop sold by HP. Comes in a wide variety of configurations but retains the same basic form factor in all. The numbers and letters that follow "G60" usually indicate what retailer sold it and what hardware came in it.

Replacing my screen with another model?

I have an HP G60. The fan went out causing my screen to malfunction and black out. I've found one online, but it belongs to an HP Pavilion DV9000. Will that screen work or should I look for an exact model?

Hi,

Your screen is:

15.6"

1366 x 768 Resolution

Widescreen

LED Backlight

WXGA HD

40pin BOTTOM LEFT connector.

But HP Pavilion DV9000 is 17.3" .

The part number of the screen for your laptop must start like this x156.

x - this is manufacturer, 156 - 15.6"

LTN156 - samsung, LP156 - LG, Philips...

Your search must look like this: LED 40pin. screen 156,

or you can write LTN156, LP156, N156... (Samsung and LG are more popular manufacturer of this part).

Another difference is matt or glossy, but this is your choice.

Regards.
