when i call someone the person on the other end gets terrible feedback when talking , so much so they have to call me on my landline . What is causing the problem and can i fix it myself

If you find an answer for this problem could you let me know please. I have a cracked screen and samsung say my warranty is invalid because of this. They want £155 to repair that before they will fix the problem under warranty
