To be even more clear, I want to send the logic board itself to Apple for replacement. I'm in India, not USA and will replace the new LB myself.

I'd call and ask before doing anything:

Apple Computer International Private Limited 5th Floor, Du Parc Trinity; 17, M.G. Road; Bangalore; India

(91) 1800 4250 744

or

(91) 80-4140-9000

I would burn my user data to a CD or DVD or external back up. Then remove any passwords and all documents from my user folder. Also any illegal Apple software, and all Limewire downloads.
