Is there an updated airport card for the 2011 Mac Mini?

Hi all, In looking at the teardown, I note the 2011 Mini uses the Broadcom BCM4331 for connectivity.

I recently upgraded the airport card in my early 2013 rMBP to ac and have had really positive results with local network transfer speeds through an ac time capsule. But to maintain these speeds I have to keep the Mini on a wired connection.

I was hoping to make the same upgrade to the Mini but have not had any luck in identifying any candidate cards - that is I'm not really sure where to look. I was able to identify the upgraded card for the rMPB from the late 2013 teardown, but there's no equivalent model or guide for the Mini.

Thanks heaps in advance for any help.

I, and others, would benefit from seeing a guide by you to your MBP ac upgrade… would you create one? Thanks.

I used this guide.

The trick is finding the BCM4360 for sale anywhere online. I got mine from a seller on DHGate and waited too long and paid too much.

Looks like you can buy in sets of 5 here

I hope this is what you're looking for!

Quick edit - that link to the BCM4360 isn't to the laptop chip sorry. I'm not able to find a link to purchase the 4360 at the moment.

I think you will find that the card is too short to connect to the antennas. This seems to be the consensus on the non-retinal MBP "upgrade" or "conversion"... also since the Mini is not prepped for ac communication there would be little noticeable gain in bandwidth.
