Is it possible to replace a highres display assembly with a normal-res

hi

I have a Macbook Pro 15" early 2011 A1286 2.3Ghz i7.I found a normal-res display assembly and my highRes display broke. So I was wondering if I can replace my HighRes Display assembly with the (mbp15" early 2011 compatible) normal-res display assembly?

thanks for your help!

I think you're on virgin territory here.

Most people are trying to squeeze in hi-res displays on non hi-res systems. I would check around a little more for the correct screen as the resale value will be better. With that said I can't see any harm trying. If you do get it to work let us know - Good Luck!
