camera doesn't work and it pops and shut off

I replaced the top LCD screen. put it back together and the camera wouldn't work was just black. So I took it apart and noticed when I was testing it that it will make a pop sound and shut off totally when I touch the Parallax barrier ribbon cable ZIF socket board? Step 33 in the repair guide? Does this mean I need a new speaker cable and a new camera? Thanks
