after that you have to unlocked the screen by switching on the right upper button that sits beside the screen, then you have to turn off the voice over by double touch on screen for setting option under "General" then "Accessibility"

We just returned from a trip to Europe and they made my son check his bag at the gate last minute. We were sure it was somehow damaged during transport, but THANKS TO YOU, I was able to fix it. I'm so appreciative of people like yourself who are willing to share the knowledge so many of us don't have a clue on. BLESS YOU !!!

I was minimizing my screen with my fingers and my screen went black. I could see the icons through the screen but it would not go away. I tried to use your idea of pushing the home screen and the on and off button together for seven seconds and rebooted it but it still came back the same way any other suggestions.

Try waiting until battery flat before recharging. Also try switching off for a few minutes.

So once you turn it off and on again it’s ok? It happened To me once and I could see in the background underneath all that black where I was able to get to my settings and lighten my screen. I guess what I was seeing was my screen turned down to the lowest amount of light. Then it was fixed.

My Ipad 6th gen decided to went black screen after just pressing the power button, I tried to hard reset it, restore it and put it in dfu mode or recovery mode but it still wont work. This happened to me 9-10 months ago and it went back ok for just a few weeks by leaving it to drain its battery for months and it happened to me again and its been 5 months now, but when I put a flashlight above the screen it will show some display.
