Old Harddrive crashed. Error installing new ssd

Hello!

I have a MBP mid 2009. The hard drive crashed, and I thought I could install a new SSD. I bought a samsung SSD 840EVO 120 GB. I put it into my MBP, and used a usb bootable Mavericks installerdrive to install OS. Like this: http://arstechnica.com/apple/2013/10/how...

When I should choose which hard drive to install mavericks on, the ssd did not appear. I went to disc utilities and tried to erase and rename the SSD (which did appear here on the left side), but got the error message: "wiping volume data to prevent future accidental probing failed". I also tried to make one partition, but got the same error message.

I've googled around, and got down to it's either a cable error, or a compatible issue. My MBP was delivered to apple support for service last summer(2013), and they changed the cable for the hard drive, so therefore I hope that's not the issue.

Does anyone know what to do?

I would suspect the cable again. See if you can test out your hard drives on another machine or use a Universal Adapter to test them. Universal Drive Adapter
