My hp touchpad stopped charging and has been dead for about a few weeks now, so I decided to open it up and try to fix the charger port, I thought about soldiering on a new piece but kinda don't feel like it. I would Really like to know where can I buy a replacement charger port from: ive checked numerous sites online, but most are out of stock...

Do you know for a fact that the microUSB port is bad and the reason for it not charging? Or are you just assuming?
I ask, because the "not charging" problem is pretty common with the TP's and most of the time it has nothing to do with the port. If it is the port, you can usually get it to show the charge indicator by applying a little pressure to the plug (either towards the front or back of the TP).
Mine wont even charge on the Touchstone charger.
Just sayin.

Mine is like that too. I have to wiggle a bit in order to charge it. Now wiggling no longer work and I assuming the charge port is dead, What else could be. Please enlighten me. thanks
