Is my video card broken?

One day I came back home,turned on the computer but there was no display.I opened the case turned the PC again everything was working properly,then I connected the video cable to my motherboard and the got displaying that windows is starting.Is my video card broke?The fans were spinning but its not displaying when it is connected to the monitor.Please help.

Hi,

If you have problem with the video card you will have beep code depending of the MB model.

I check, this MB is with AMI bios and 8 beeps are error code for the video card.

To detect a problem disconnect everything from MB (HDD, CD, audio if you have and etc.).

When you start it you will have non stop beeping - memory error. Now put the memory and your computer will start and give you error for missing operating system. But if in this moment you have beep code again - you have problem with the MB or CPU (depending of the code).

Find CMOS cleaner jumper to reset the BIOS settings. If this not help you, you must go for a service.
