Calls only work via speakerphone, mic doesn't work at all

Hello all,

For quite some time I've had to use my phone on speakerphone, making private conversations a thing of the past.

During a call, I can hear people fine, but they can't hear me at all until I put them on speakerphone.

Nothing is picked up on the microphone via Voice Memo but it is in video. Music still plays fine through the speakers...

Is the most likely fix replacing the dock connector?

Any help would be great,

Yes this is a mic issue on the dock connecter when you have the phone on speaker it uses the top mic. Replace dock and you will be grand

Thanks a lot for the help, I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on. Hopefully I'll no longer have to hold my phone upside down and shout at it to attempt calls.
