iPhone 4S stripes on display

Hi,

I bought an iPhone with not-working screen (pretty similar to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8BiaM-_C...). I initially thought it was a display problem so I bought screen replacement and carefully replaced it, powered it up but the screen was the same. I guess it's not a display problem (as I tried a new one). I cleaned the connectors and even tried to tape the chip on LCD flex with insulating tape as someone suggested. None of it worked. Any ideas ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Could I test it with my iPhone 4 screen ? Someone said it works on 4S, just doesn't fit what's not necessary for testing ..

Any repair shop should have a test rig for some screens so it's only a matter for them to plug it in to see if it's working!

I've just tested both screens (the one which was originally on the iPhone and the new one) on my iPhone 4 and both worked normally so it can only be motherboard problem.

Ah ok take a look at te pins on the motherboard were you plug in the lcd it's possible you have damaged 1 when removing or installing the screen post a pic If you can

I've checked it twice using microscope (~300x), connector and resistors around it seem to be OK. https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#A15q...
