iPhone 5 screen verizon screen blackout but backlight works

Hi i need some help I replaced the volume power flex cable on an iphone 5 and the screen and when i tried to boot it back up just the back light came on and no picture. i tried putting the old screen back on to see if it was the screen and the cracked screen is doing it too. Please help i need to fix this! is there a fix???

Options

Hard reset hold power and home button for about 10 seconds then let go and press power
