when i plug in my earphones it the input of my iPod Touch wont go through my left earphone. It does this with every earphone I try. if I push in on the earphone really hard it will work so that's why i know the input is messed up.

since it works when you push it hard in the connector - i would guess that there is debris/lint inside the connector (almost a common problem)
try to clean it with canned air (careful - only air, no moisture) or someting similar to a q-tip in small - but du it carefully - the earphone jack is fragile.
if that wont work, it might be possible that one of the soldering points are faulty - you can see them here on the bottom left
replacing the part is possible, but not easy - it's soldered onto the logic board
