Is the Mic build in to the camera on my iMac?

So if i replace the camera my mic wil work again?

I believe it is connected to, a part of, the camera assembly.

As far as I can tell, it's *not* part of the iSight assembly. But, to be sure, what model do you have? There are so many models of iMacs....
