Sleep Mode/Power Off Button will not work

Hello, I replaced the digitizer and LCD on my iphone 5 but now the iphone 5 will not respond when I click the top right button. I noticed that I have to either click the top right button multiple times or hold the button for a longer time so that the iphone 5 can go to sleep mode. Is this an issue with the New LCD and Digitizer or an issue with how I installed the LCd and digitizer

Options

That is not related to the screen replacement, this is a problem with the iPhone 5, you will need to replace the power flex cable. This is not an easy repair.
